Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan/Refugee/Tibetan refugee/Person of Indian origin as per Government of India rules. Relevant certificate required if applicable.
Age Limit (as on 31 May 2026): 20 to 28 years (born between 31.05.1998 and 31.05.2006, inclusive). Age relaxations apply: +5 years for SC/ST, +3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer). Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) get up to +15 years (SC/ST), +13 (OBC), +10 (General/EWS). Additional age concessions apply for widows/divorced women (detailed in the notice).
Education: Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) from a University recognized by the Govt. of India. Graduation must be completed on or after 1 January 2022. Final year students (awaiting results) are not eligible.
Language: Candidates must know the local language of the state where they apply (reading, writing, speaking, understanding). A local language test will be conducted after the online exam; those who have studied the official language up to 10th/12th grade may be exempted.
Application Process
Candidates must apply online only. The steps are:
Step 1: Register on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in). Login and find the “Central Bank of India” apprenticeship advertisement. Note your NATS Enrollment ID.
Step 2: Pay the application & intimation fee (see Fee section below) and submit basic details on NATS.
Step 3: Shortly after applying on NATS, you will receive an email from BFSI-SSC (info@bfsissc.com) with a link to register on the BFSI-SSC portal (https://beep.bfsissc.com).
Step 4: Login to the BFSI-SSC portal and complete your profile. Enter preferences (District choices, category, etc.), upload scanned photograph, signature and certificates, and pay the balance fee (if any).
Step 5: Submit the application. The system will generate an application printout. Keep the NATS Enrollment ID and printout safe for future reference.
Note: Ensure all details (name, DOB, category, etc.) match your certificates exactly. No changes can be made after final submission.
Selection Process
Online Test: Shortlisted candidates will take an objective-type online exam (60 minutes, 100 marks). The pattern is:
General/Financial Awareness – 20 Q, 20 marks (English/Hindi)
Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude – 20 Q, 20 marks (English/Hindi)
Computer Knowledge – 20 Q, 20 marks (English/Hindi)
General English – 20 Q, 20 marks (English)
CBI Products & Services – 20 Q, 20 marks (English).
(No negative marking). The test will be conducted by the BFSI-SSC on behalf of CBI. Meeting the cut-off marks (set by the Bank) is mandatory.
Local Language Test: Only candidates who pass the online exam will take a local language test for their chosen state. If a candidate fails this test (and has not already studied the language in school), he/she will not be appointed. The bank does not reimburse travel for this test.
Final Merit List: Based on exam scores and available vacancies, candidates will be ranked. In case of a tie, older candidates rank higher. The final selection list will be released on the Bank’s and BFSI-SSC’s websites. All selections are provisional pending verification.
Document Verification & Medical: Provisionally selected candidates must submit original documents (see checklist below) and be medically fit. Final appointment is subject to satisfactory verification of DOB, education, category, etc., and passing the medical exam.
Stipend: Apprentices will receive a fixed stipend of ₹15,000 per month for the 12-month training period.

Photo ID Proof: Passport, Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Driving License, etc. (with photo).
Educational Certificates: Semester/Year-wise mark sheets and degree/diploma certificate of graduation. (Percentage conversion certificate if needed.)
Category Certificate: If applying under SC/ST/OBC/EWS, a valid caste/ income & asset certificate in the prescribed format. (OBC certificate must have non-creamy layer clause.)
